SARB Island Project

Dredging is an excavation activity or operation usually carried out at least partly underwater, in shallow seas or fresh water areas with the purpose of gathering up bottom sediments and disposing of them at a different location.

This project calls for the construction of two artificial islands. The project is part of a program to boost offshore production capacity.

Small-scale energy Islands are a valuable alternative for the detection and exploitation of oil on steel offshore platforms. The design and implementation are based on a full environmental impact study. The new energy Islands will be 120 km to the northwest coast of Abu Dhabi.
